Four innovations, four awards, and recognition across multiple stages of high-performance embedded system development: COMTEL Electronics GmbH has received four honors at the 2026 Military + Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards, including one Platinum, one Gold and two Silver distinctions. The awards recognize four COMTEL solutions in the Test and Measurement / Embedded Computing category, highlighting the company’s expertise in high-speed signal transmission, system development, configuration and validation for demanding applications in defence, aerospace and beyond.
Four awards. One technological ambition.
The highest distinction, Platinum, was awarded to COMTEL‘s VPX/SOSA High Speed 200G Backplane, recognizing an advanced solution designed to meet the growing bandwidth requirements of next-generation embedded computing architectures.
The Gold award went to the SOSA/VPX Development System Online Configurator, an interactive digital tool that simplifies the specification of customized VPX development platforms.

The VPX 200G High Speed Measurement Card, developed to enable precise signal integrity testing of next-generation high-speed backplane connections.
Together, these four solutions address interconnected engineering challenges: designing high-performance architectures, configuring development systems, evaluating hardware and validating signal quality.
